My work-history is mainly with the Careers/Connexions Service in Staffordshire, Cheshire, and Norfolk. I am proud to say that since 2010, I have been a Trustee at the Henderson Trust, a Governor in a local primary school and I am now a Governor in a local Secondary Academy where I am the Link Governor for the SEND department. I also volunteer for Norfolk Youth Offending Team and I am a panel member supporting young people who have been given a ‘Referral Order’ by the Courts. One of my favourite pastimes is walking on the North Norfolk coast with my Boxer dog.

I am originally from Norwich where I trained as an accountant. After my training I moved to London where I worked for a number of professional and commercial companies in a variety of roles including that of company accountant and financial controller. In the year 2000 my wife and I returned to Norwich and I had several jobs both part-time and full-time, until I retired in 2004. I feel singularly honoured to be asked to become a trustee of the Henderson Trust and look forward to continuing working with the Trust to provide a service to the community.

I am Norfolk born and bred and have lived in West Earlham for over 26 years. I am married, three children, four grandchildren who keep me almost as busy as I was before I retired from the Civil Service. I am a co-director of A.W.Electrical Services (Norwich) Ltd and I have worked as a volunteer on boards including the West Norwich Partnership (now incorporated within the Henderson Trust) and the West Norwich Credit Union I take my role at The Henderson Trust very seriously, firmly believing that those involved now really believe in the Henderson ethos. My aim is to change other peoples' perceptions of this area, especially the media because there is so much to be proud of!

I am the Headteacher of West Earlham Junior School, and have taught in different schools in the Henderson area for a total of 10 years so far. I live in in central Norwich but have many local connections having lived in the Henderson area previously. I am passionate about education and the work of the Henderson Trust. I particularly enjoy working with people of all ages to help them create enterprises for themselves, which in turn benefit the local community. I have three daughters, two at high school in Norwich and one who is a student nurse.
